HireaCameraAssistant(1st&2ndAC)
Book a camera assistant for pulls, camera prep, media management, and on-set support. Cinema-workflow AC available for day shoots across the Pacific Northwest and West Coast.
Camera Assistant for Hire
A good camera assistant is the difference between a day that flows and a day that stalls. Booked as a 1st or 2nd AC, I handle the camera department so the DP can stay on the frame: building and prepping the body, pulling focus, swapping glass and filtration, managing batteries and media, and keeping accurate camera reports through wrap.
Scope of Work
What the Booking Covers
Focus Pulling
Manual pulls on wide-aperture cinema glass, marks laid and rehearsed, wireless follow focus when the setup calls for it. Comfortable on moving subjects and gimbal work.
Camera Prep & Build
Full body build, rig configuration, monitoring, power, and filtration. Prep the night before, on set early, and packed clean at wrap.
Media & Data Management
Offloads with checksum verification, redundant copies, clear folder structures, and camera reports your editor can actually read.
Second Set of Cinema Eyes
I DP most days of the year, so I catch the small things: a soft take, a shifting stop, a battery about to die, a slate that never made it in.

Questions
Booking FAQs
Do you AC on other people's camera packages?
Yes. I regularly assist on RED, ARRI, Sony, Canon, and Blackmagic bodies. Send the package list ahead of the shoot and I will prep for it.
Can you bring a camera package as well?
Yes. If you need a B-cam or a backup body on the day, my Sony FX6 package can come along as an add-on.
Do you work as a 2nd AC or DIT?
I take 2nd AC bookings and handle on-set data management. For heavy live-grade DIT carts, I can point you to trusted people in the region.
