    Day Rate Camera Operator

    Producers hire a camera operator when the creative direction is already set and they need someone who can be handed a shot list and deliver it cleanly. That is the role I fill most often on outside productions: operating A-cam or B-cam, framing to the director's intent, holding exposure and focus under pressure, and keeping the day moving. I arrive with a complete Sony FX6 package, so the booking covers both the operator and the camera department.

    Booking FAQs

    Do you travel for camera operator work?

    Yes. Home base is Spokane, Washington, with regular work through Seattle, Portland, Boise, Coeur d'Alene, Missoula, and down the West Coast. Travel days and per diem are standard on out-of-market bookings.

    Can I book you as an operator only, without gear?

    Yes. If the production is already carrying a camera package, I can operate on your body. Most clients prefer the bundled option because it removes a rental house from the schedule.

    How far in advance should I book?

    Two to three weeks is comfortable for a standard day. Short-notice and next-day bookings are often possible, so it is always worth asking.
