    Gaffer for Hire

    Lighting is where most productions win or lose the frame. Booked as a gaffer, I light to the DP's plan and take the technical load off the shoot: sourcing power, shaping the key, controlling spill and ambient, and building looks that hold across a long interview day or a fast-moving commercial schedule. The lighting package comes with me, so there is no separate rental to coordinate.

    Interview & Portrait Lighting

    Clean, controlled, repeatable setups for executive interviews and testimonials. Subtractive shaping over blasting light, so faces read natural on camera.

    Location & Practical Integration

    Offices, warehouses, clinics, restaurants, and job sites. I work with the existing practicals and windows rather than fighting them, and I plan power before the truck unloads.

    Commercial & Product Sets

    Hard light, negative fill, and precise flagging for product, tabletop, and packaging work where the highlight roll-off matters.

    Lighting Package Included

    Three Aputure 300d fixtures, two 120d units, full modifier set, and grip. Enough to light an interview, a small set, or a two-room company tour without a rental house.

    Booking FAQs

    Is the lighting package included in the booking?

    Yes. The Aputure package travels with the gaffer booking. Larger builds that need HMIs, big skypanels, or a full grip truck are sourced locally as an add-on.

    Can you gaff without bringing gear?

    Absolutely. If the production already has a lighting order, I will show up as labor and light to your plan.

    Do you handle power and distro?

    For LED-scale builds, yes: circuits, stingers, and load planning. Generator-level distro is coordinated with a local electric crew.
